The brief was simple on paper: reach runners who are genuinely part of run club communities and promote the chance to win a place in the 2026 London Marathon.
The execution, however, was anything but simple.
Rather than handing out flyers outside clubs, we embedded our teams directly into the sessions. We identified runners within our own organisation, trained them thoroughly on the brand and messaging, and deployed them across multiple cities and hundreds of run clubs.
Our staff didn’t just observe — they ran alongside participants. Conversations happened naturally during warm-ups, mid-runs, and cool-downs, with sign-ups facilitated through QR codes displayed on ambassador T-shirts.
